How Vocem works

A decentralized phone for wallets. Browser-native. Encrypted. P2P. No extra identity, no phone company, no app to install.

01

Open any browser

No App Store. No install. vocem.network works on café WiFi, airport WiFi, home WiFi — anywhere you can load a site.

02

Your wallet is the number

There is no SIM and no username to mint. The 0x you connect is how people reach you. Copy it, or share your call link.

03

Bridge if you need to, then buy minutes

ETH on another chain? Bridge it onto Robinhood Chain. Then pick a pack and pay with ETH or USDG. Minutes sit on that wallet until you spend them.

04

Dial 0x. Talk privately.

Both of you keep the tab open. Paste their wallet, reserve minutes, ring. Encrypted P2P audio. Camera stays off.

The call, start to finish

  1. You open the site. Any browser. Any WiFi. That’s your phone.
  2. You connect. Sign in and you have a number — your 0x.
  3. You buy minutes. Bridge if you need to. ETH or USDG on Robinhood Chain. They stay on your wallet.
  4. You send a link or an address. vocem.network/dashboard?dial=0x…
  5. They open Vocem and you ring. They tap Accept. Encrypted P2P voice.
  6. You hang up. Talk time bills in whole minutes. Leftover reservation returns to you.

Questions

Do I need to download an app?

No. Vocem is the website. Open it in any browser, on any WiFi. That’s the whole phone.

Is this decentralized / P2P?

Yes. Your number is your wallet. You call another wallet. Audio is encrypted. There’s no SIM, no carrier identity, and no phone company in the middle of who you are.

What does dePIN mean here?

A decentralized phone layer. Voice rides a distributed node network. You keep the number (your 0x) and the minutes on your wallet.

Who pays for the call?

The caller. You buy minutes, then spend them when you talk. The person you call is not charged and is not paid.

What if they don’t pick up?

Reserved minutes come back to you. You only keep the charge for time you actually talked, in whole minutes.

Why does the other person need the tab open?

There’s no carrier to wake a phone in their pocket. Both wallets have to be on Vocem in a browser so the ring can show up.

My ETH is on another chain.

Use Bridge. Move native gas onto Robinhood Chain, then buy minutes and dial.
